My life used to feel somewhere between blah, anxious and stressed. I had everything everyone kept telling me we should have to have a happy life.
I had the house, the car, the cool job, cool clothes, and the husband. But I felt so alone and so empty inside. Not to mention stressed. My anxiety levels were through the roof. I kept wondering if this was all there was to life? I just wanted to be happy again, but I didn’t know how?
Through the advice from a friend, I sought the help of a life coach to help me get through a divorce and start making changes in my life. I had enough of myself and my life. I told her, “I am hiring you to help me get to the other side because I know I can’t do this by myself.” She guided me to personal transformation books as part of my work with her, and she successfully got me 800 miles back to my hometown in New York City. From that point, I was hooked on personal development and spiritual growth. Had I not found this path, I would have probably blamed everything on my former husband, rather than learning that life is a sum of the choices we make and that we were such different people. Because of this, we were able to have an amicable divorce and remain good friends today. Pretty life-changing stuff.
I wanted more growth and more peace in my life. Do you know why? I realized more growth meant more freedom in my life. Mental freedom. Once you have it, you know it is everything. So I started attending workshops, reading more books and blogs. Learning from all of the people who found this path and came before me. They gave me hope that if they could make it through their struggles and be happy again, I could do it too.
What I was learning was mind-blowing. It was not at all what I was expecting? But it was exactly what I needed. I thought, I would have never have known to look for this? How do you look for something you don’t know you should be looking for? I also kept wondering, “This is so amazing! Why isn’t this taught in school?” “Why did it take me this long to learn about this stuff?” “I definitely could have used this a lot more than algebra.”
I wasn’t being told what to think, but how to think.
I was also learning that so much of what we learn in life actually hurts us more than it helps us.
No wonder we’re so miserable.
I then learned how to create more of the life I wanted and how to bring more joy and love into my life without changing anything else
but my mindset.
And you know what? All of this, I discovered, made me more resilient.
I am able to move through the ebbs and flow of life. Doesn’t mean it’s always easy, but with this practice, I am always able to get back to peace, love, and joy that I wasn’t able to do before. That is true resilience.
And now, I can’t believe I am here on the other side sharing it with you!
Starting January 5, and every other week, I will share with you what I have learned to bring more peace, love, joy, and resilience into my life, so you can start applying it to your life. If these tools can work for me and thousands of other personal spiritual development junkies, they can totally work for you too. Seriously, not a day goes by that I am not grateful for this practice.
I will share what it really means to have more peace, love, and joy in your life. And it may not look like what you’ve been told. But it’s even better. Peace doesn’t just mean sitting on a beach relaxing. Although, that’s pretty awesome too.
On this path...
Peace: means to be at peace in your heart even though there might not be peace around you. You have a strong foundation and practice that supports you emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Love: Tapping into the love that is already around you and within you.
Joy: Joy is the light that comes from within you.
Resilience: Resilience is how fast you bounce back into peace, love, and joy when life takes you out of it.
This isn’t about creating an Instagram perfect life. Perfection is what contributes to so much of the unhappiness in our lives. Thinking we have to look or be a certain way to be worthy or loved. This is about loving yourself and your life as it right now.
I hope to create a space you will love to come back to again and again. Here is where I will share real stories, lessons, and tools on how I brought more peace, love, joy, and resilience into my life and how I stay on this path because it is still an everyday practice for me too.
I am still on this journey. A lifelong learner. Healing and growing...on my quest for more expansion, awareness, more peace, love, joy, and resilience in my life.
You can join me by signing up here.
I am looking forward to taking this journey with you!
Namaste Love,
Until next then, you can check out the rest of my gorgeous new website here!
