There Really is Only One Life Purpose

It’s not uncommon for people to wonder “What is my life purpose?”

There are many courses and life purposing coaching guiding people on their life purpose.
As a spiritual life coach, I have seen people break down in frustration because they don’t know what their life purpose is?

We may think people who are life coaches, counselors, therapists, doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters, yoga instructors, reiki healers, are all serving their life purpose.

But they all have something in common because there really is only one purpose. Whether you believe in God, the Universe, your higher self, or humanity. It’s still the same. And you don’t need a degree or a certification in it.

We humans love to complicate things.
We make things bigger or egoic than they need to be.
But really it is simple.

Our purpose in this life is to serve one another.
Leave the world a better place than you found it.

It doesn’t need to be grandiose or big. This can be done in our daily lives through kindness and compassion, and even non-judgment. You don’t have to go around saving people until you burn out. But little acts of kindness here and there throughout the day or the week is all that is needed.

- Hold doors open for people.
- Let people cut in front of you in traffic.
- Give a stranger a compliment.
- Buy a paramedic or firefighter a cup of coffee or bring doughnuts to the station.
- Buy ice cream gift certificates and hand them out to people in the park.
- Sit with someone who may be sad.
- Send a text to someone who may be lonely.
- Drop off some bakery at an elderly neighbor’s house.
- Forgive someone.
- Be the first to apologize
- Stop judging
- Stop gossiping
- Donate pantry items to help feed people in need.
- Volunteer
- Donate old furniture.
- Teach your kids to be kind.

In a world that is tired, angry, and weary. The best way we can serve is to give people a reason to smile, laugh, and have hope.

Your kindness will have a ripple effect. When you lift someone up they pass that energy onto others.

There is so much work out there to be done and so many ways we can fulfill our life purpose each and every day.
